Kuala Lumpur, 7 May 2025 — Panorama Group, a leading integrated tourism company in Indonesia, and Malaysia Airlines, the national carrier of Malaysia, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration aimed at significantly expanding both outbound tourism from Indonesia and inbound tourism to Indonesia from international markets.
The MoU was signed in Kuala Lumpur on April 18, 2025, during the same occasion as the MATTA Fair, one of Malaysia’s largest travel exhibitions, marking a strong commitment to regional tourism cooperation between the two leading travel industry players.
Through this collaboration, Panorama Group and Malaysia Airlines will jointly develop a series of integrated initiatives designed to enhance market access and customer value. These include special flight promotions with preferential rates for outbound Indonesian travelers and inbound visitors from regional markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The partnership also covers corporate travel management, where Panorama will extend exclusive pricing to its corporate clientele, supported by joint marketing efforts to grow this segment. Additionally, Malaysia Airlines will enjoy preferential access to hotel and hospitality services managed under Panorama Group, adding value to their passenger experience. Both organizations will also collaborate on marketing and promotional activities, targeting domestic audiences in Indonesia through digital channels and travel fairs, as well as international travelers through joint participation at global tourism exhibitions and tradeshows.
“We are excited to formalize this partnership with Malaysia Airlines,” said Budi Tirtawisata, Group CEO of Panorama Group. “It reflects our commitment to delivering integrated travel solutions that add real value to both Indonesian travelers going abroad and international visitors coming into Indonesia. Together, we aim to elevate the quality, reach, and impact of travel offerings in the region.”
“This MoU marks a significant milestone in strengthening regional tourism collaboration,” said Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). “Together with Panorama Group, we are committed to enhancing connectivity and delivering seamless, premium travel experiences across key markets, particularly in the fast-growing Indonesian market and beyond.”
This strategic collaboration is expected to drive tourism growth, foster regional connectivity, and create meaningful opportunities for both leisure and business travelers.
