Jakarta, November 5, 2026 – Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia is strengthening its strategic partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to encourage more Indonesian travelers to visit South Korea. The commitment was highlighted during a meeting with Sunghyeuck Park, President of the Korea Tourism Organization, and a delegation from KTO's headquarters in Seoul, held at Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia's head office in Jakarta on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The meeting was part of KTO's official visit to Indonesia, aimed at strengthening collaboration with partners across the tourism industry. During the occasion, Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia and KTO Jakarta signed a Strategic Partnership Commitment, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing destination promotion, developing travel products, and expanding opportunities for Indonesian travelers to explore South Korea.
Through this partnership, Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia and KTO will explore various joint marketing initiatives, the development of thematic travel products, and the promotion of South Korean destinations beyond major cities. The collaboration also aims to provide Indonesian travelers with greater access to diverse travel experiences in South Korea, ranging from culture, culinary tourism, and beauty to special-interest travel.
"Indonesia is an important market for South Korea's tourism industry. Through collaboration with local partners who have strong networks and expertise in their respective fields, we hope to provide Indonesian travelers with more relevant information, travel products, and experiences in South Korea," said Sunghyeuck Park, President of the Korea Tourism Organization.
Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia already offers a wide range of South Korea travel products designed to cater to the needs and preferences of Indonesian travelers. In addition to regular tour packages, the company also offers thematic travel experiences such as TripTour Beauty, which focuses on beauty and wellness tourism in South Korea, and Moslem Tours Halal Korea, which caters to Muslim travelers through itineraries featuring more Muslim-friendly facilities and services.
Looking ahead to 2027, Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia also sees opportunities to develop event-based travel packages around international events, including the Seoul Marathon 2027, scheduled to take place in March. Additionally, World Youth Day Seoul 2027, set for August 2027 and expected to be attended by Pope Leo XIV, presents opportunities to develop travel packages for Indonesian Catholic communities and travelers interested in participating in the event.
"Our strategic partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization marks an important step for Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia as we continue to expand our travel offerings to South Korea. We recognize that Indonesian travelers' interests in South Korea are becoming increasingly diverse. Beyond visiting popular destinations, they are also seeking experiences that align with their personal interests and needs, from cultural and beauty tourism to sports and religious travel. Through this collaboration, we aim to introduce more relevant and appealing South Korea travel products to the Indonesian market," said Hellen Xu, Director of Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia.
Beyond individual and family travelers, the partnership also creates opportunities to develop corporate travel offerings, including incentive travel and Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE). Leveraging Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia's marketing and distribution network, a wider range of South Korean destinations and travel experiences is expected to reach broader market segments.
As part of the partnership discussions, both parties also explored a shared target of bringing up to 30,000 Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia customers to South Korea in 2027, with implementation details to be discussed further. Efforts to achieve this target will be supported through the development of seasonal travel products, promotions across various sales channels, participation in travel exhibitions, and stronger relationships with South Korean tourism industry stakeholders.
"With KTO's support and our extensive business network, we are optimistic about further strengthening South Korea's position as one of the preferred destinations for Indonesian travelers. We hope this partnership will not only increase visitor numbers but also create new opportunities to develop a wider variety of travel products and experiences," Hellen added.
This partnership further reinforces Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia's commitment to continuously innovating its international travel products and services. By combining Panorama JTB Tours Indonesia's expertise in understanding the preferences and characteristics of Indonesian travelers with KTO's support in promoting South Korean destinations, both parties aim to drive sustainable growth in outbound tourism from Indonesia to South Korea.
